Sokoto ESAN Coordinator Emerges NUESA-UDUS President

The coordinator of Sokoto State Education Students’ Association of Nigeria (ESAN), Mubarak Aliyu Kaffe has emerged as the new president of the Nigerian Universities Education Students’ Association (NUESA), Usmanu Danfodiyo University Sokoto (UDUS) chapter.




Mubarak was announced as the new president of NUESA by the Board of Trustees (B.O.T) of the Faculty of Education and Extension Services (FEES) on February 28, 2023. Prior to the announcement, candidates were nominated on February 20, for proper screening by the board. 

Sepaking with Mahmud Ukashatu, the chairman of the B.O.T, Observersmag gathered that three final year students of the faculty were nominated for the post, Robiu Olaide Quadri of Education Mathematics, Aminu Muntari of Education chemistry, and Mubarak Aliyu Kaffe from Education Biology, who later emerged as the winner.

Ukashatu explained that Mubarak has the qualities required in a leader who can manage the affairs of the association properly. “Mubarak is a very humble individual, he has been serving the NUESA since his year two on campus. The faculty of education has an estimated 7,000 Students. In view of this, we need a very hardworking person that can sacrifice his time and energy for the welfare and rights of the students in the faculty,” said the chairman.

He added, “Mubarak is a committed comrade with capacity, capability, integrity, personality, strength, power, competency and ability to serve humanity.”

The new president, Mubarak appreciated God for the opportunity to head the faculty's association. He said, “I thank the Almighty Allah because He is the one who gives power and authority to whom he wished.”

“Although we have gone through a lot of challenges, it's God's blessings that keep us moving,” He added.

When Mubarak was asked about his plan for the students’ association, he noted that the welfare of every student from the faculty of education will be his priority and that he will build up a memorable educational legacy of national heritage.


'I have 26 State's Executive Members' — Mubarak 


The Sokoto state ESAN coordinator, Mubarak Aliyu confirmed that his emergence as the new NUESA president cannot affect each other because he has executive board members.

“I have 26 State's executive members that will discharge their duties well even in my absence,” he stated.
