“ Less is more…”
In a world where advantages and
disadvantages are struggling to keep their balance between each other,
lifestyle has become a disperse variant holding on to different aspect and
pattern of the world. As some believe, we
are now in an opportunistic world so it is important to make use of every
possible opportunity to live a life of impact and gather wealth. Some also
believe that learning to make a balance of living is very importance regardless
of the disposition of opportunity one is exposed to. Hence the importance of a
minimalist lifestyle.
In a simple definition and description, we
would define minimalism as the purest form of simplicity and clarity. It has to
do with intentionally possessing fewer possessions which is usually the only
things needed and not in excess leaving out excess possessions to focus on the
things that matters the most. Emphasizing on the pursuit of experiences,
relationships, and personal growth over the restless accumulation of
possessions, minimalism is not just about decluttering being wealthy but a
lifestyle choice that revolves around less is more.
However, dealing with our Gen Z generation
who seems to consider things from different perspective and understanding; how
well do we welcome minimalism? In an era characterized by constant connectivity
and continuous buzz of information, the minimalist lifestyle is experiencing a
form of resurgence especially among the gen Z. The gen z born between the late
1990s and early 2010s are proving to be a generation that prioritizes
simplicity and living intentionally over the clutter of the world’s materialism.
Born into a world where technology is woven
into the fabric of daily life, the Gen Z grew up in the age of smartphones,
social media, and instant connectivity. They are known for their progressive
thinking, inclusivity, and innate drive to male positive impact on the world by
reshaping their values and beliefs. The Gen Z has successfully influenced their
system in a way that minimalism has given a shape to their lifestyle in
different dimensions.
This current era of technology and
digitalization is a current proof of minimalism in the lifestyle of the Gen Z.
Recognizing the overwhelming nature of the digital age, they embrace the
principles of digital minimalism by curating their online presence and at the
same time taking a break to focus on the real-world interactions and
self-reflections. They have been able to manage these available resources of
technology in a way that it sieves out the disadvantages and helps them
regulate the advantages.

Not just effecting on digitalism alone, the
Gen Z has also bring in minimalism in other part of their lifestyle which has
contributed effectively to their sustainable living, mindful consumption of
materials things, focus on life experiences, financial independence, community
relationship, and work-life balance.
Focusing on what truly matters and
fostering a sense of purpose in a world filled with distractions, The Gen Z
have found a way to embrace minimalism as a way to navigates the complexities
of modern life; influencing the cultural norms, and reshaping the society. It
is of no argument that minimalist mindset offers a promising path towards a
simpler and more intentional future.
