Young Africa Leaders Initiative Network has held an Educative Summit with the theme "Innovate To Elevate: Building AI Ready Leaders" on Saturday, 2 December 2023, at Doctor Hall Along mandate market Ilorin.
The event unveiled the the truth and lies behind the Artificial intelligence (AI) to the executives and participants of Yali Network.
Participating in the summit on Saturday were prominent figures such as Ibrahim Mustapha, the director of Yali media; Shola Olojede, the state coordinator; Hon. Ibrahim Abdullateef, the governor of Kwara State's senior special assistant on communication; Professor Mahfouz Adedimeji, a former VC at Ahman Patigi University (APU); Mr. Sikirullah Nuhu, the deputy program director; and Miss Barakah Adejumo, the deputy state coordinator.
Speaking at the summit, Professor Mahfouz Adedimeji, said "Don't let AI take over your strength. You know that you are knowledgeable, but once you start to fall for the changes that happen in your life after using an artificial intelligence (AI app), you won't want to face your own again; instead, AI will become your empire.
Choose to be a controller of AI instead of letting AI control you. How could you expect AI, which was made by someone, to always tell you the truth? Humans are prone to making mistakes, which may have unintended consequences. Although it gave you the impression that you already knew everything, you would eventually learn that the AI application was meant to obliterate your reading skills. In actuality, if you're not a better writer, don't allow AI to control you. Instead, if you've mastered the process, you have a good chance of succeeding independently and surpassing AI in that particular writing domain."
Jamiu Balogun One of the Yali Network executives asserted that the program's goal was to alter young people's perceptions and make them think that artificial intelligence (AI) didn't exist to help people become better versions of themselves, but rather to make them appear less unique. Since you saw it as a shortcut to get out of any situation, there was no reason for you to stop studying because you believed that there was nothing more to it than that, which is why you continued to perform poorly in your academy.
Speaking with one of the attendees, Yusuf Abdulkadir, stated that, "I gained additional knowledge regarding the applicability of Al, its drawbacks, and some of the methods that aspiring business owners can apply it to their ventures. But, I applaud the YALI executives who organized the event for a job well done, and I also take this opportunity to beg them to arrange similar events frequently, especially virtual ones so that people in other places can take advantage of the creative program."
Another attendee, Suleimon Sherifat said, "I became more motivated to pursue my goals and not let anything stand in my way after learning a lot about AI programs and how they can be used in many facets of life. Salutations to the coordinators and organizers."
