Tales of Pain

By Muhammad Shukroh

At the gripping seconds of every moment,

Struggling like a wandering ghost,

Seeking to breathe in my grief,

In pain, no one seems to besee.

Feeling empty of my witty joky self.

My veins are craving for blood,

My heart is pierced, shattered, and scattered.

I lost my trusty confidence,

All hopes are bygone and foregone

Looking blossom, smiling outside with pals,

and burning inside_ crying daily.

Am I in a mess,

Sometimes I'm happy,

And many times I'm sad.

Feeling shy at one time or another,

Tired of having to fork out.

I keep clamoring_

'Dear pain please calm down

I feel, but I have no one to tell.
