In its commitment to providing 21st-century skills training to its members, the University Scholars Forum of Usmanu Danfodiyo University Sokoto (UDUS) presents its' second scholars colloquium (USC 2.0) scheduled to hold on the 12th of November, 2023 at the Energy Research Auditorium.
The colloquium themed "The Role of Students in Boosting Academic Productivity and Quality Leadership in Nigeria" will be hosted by Prof. Umar Aliyu, Dean of Students' Affairs, UDUS, and Co-hosted by Abdulganiyu Abdulrahman Akanbi, Convener, USF.
The colloquium featuring experts in key fields such as personal development and academic success has the Vice Chancellor of Usmanu Danfodiyo University Sokoto, Prof. Lawal Bilbis as the Chief Host.
In outlining the goals of the colloquium, the Forum's Convener, Abdulganiyu Abdulrahman Akanbi, emphasized the importance of learning from successful scholars about how academic excellence can change ones life trajectory. He recounted the feasible strategies of overcoming adversity and achieving success through hardwork and dedication.
"The colloquium is a forum that provides students with the opportunity to meet, speak with, ask questions, and actively interact with senior University officials, academic experts, and international and local development experts.
"The colloquium aims to bring together experts from various sectors to speak with young people and encourage them to become future leaders. The goal is to foster academic excellence and cultivate strong leadership skills among tomorrow's leaders.
"Interacting with these young people will give them the opportunity to learn and gain insight into navigating life's challenges." He stated.
